The historic centre is very walkable and largely closed to private cars (ZTL). Use ATAF buses or the T1/T2 tram for longer trips, and IT Taxi or FreeNow to call a taxi (Uber is very limited). A car is not recommended in the centre but useful for Tuscany day trips — note strict ZTL camera enforcement.
